The practice of Al-Taqiyya
Firstly we we would like to thank one of our regular link contributors for this information. This is something that is not well known to the public or even to most of our readers. We will be looking more closely as to the practices of Al-Taqiyya and will be posting more information on this subject as and when it is exposed. Our contributor will keep us updated on this subject. Many Thanks, now follows the contributors instalment introduction to Al-Taqiyya.
In todays climate of confusion and apprehension regarding the war in Iraq, the presence of Muslims in Britain and the spate of bombings in London and Glasgow, people are beginning to ask whether there is something not quite right about the continual assurances from various politicians, the media and Islamic representatives (referred to as 'community leaders') that Islam means peace, that it's a peaceful religion and that terrorist acts should not be associated with Islam or Muslims.
Who, then, people ask, and what, is behind such barbaric deeds?
Recently, in some reports and on various internet blogs, there has been mention of a practice, apparently inherent in the Muslim religion, called Al-Taqqiya, and suggestions that this practice is used to deceive westerners in order to infiltrate their institutions for the purpose of subverting, and ultimately controlling them in preparation for "Islamifying" western states.
This, of course, rigourously denied. But on further enquiry we have discovered other references to this practice, so that it does appear to exist, and even to be part and parcel of the Islamic religion itself.
But what does it really mean?
What is Al-Taqqiya?
Consider the following quote -
"He who doesn't practice al-Taqiyya, doesn't practice his religion." - Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq of Ahlul-Bayt
We are left wondering then whether all good Muslims practice Al-taqqiya to further Allah's aims of an all Islamic world.
Here's another quote -
"Do the media and people of the Western world also know that there is a deceptive strategy in Islam which is called Taqiyya, which comes from the time of Prophet Muhammad himself? Taqiyya is a deceptive strategy for damage control. When Muslims are in trouble for the comments or actions of a memberor community of theirs, the rest must take recourse of lies and deception to chide the culprits even if he / she was correct according to Islam.
This is to ameliorate tensions, to divert attention, to conciliate and to persuade the offended party against harsh actions. Taqiyya would apply so long Muslims are not in a position to win a confrontation. The so-called moderate Muslims in the West have taken this role in all its perfection." - Alamgir Hussain

In which it is also claimed: "A civilisation that sees everyone else as being in a state of war with God, and also against Itself, could quite easily justify endowing upon the other less worthy treatment."
All of which is rather alarming, and if shown to be true, throws up interesting implications with regard to immigration, public services, utilities and institutions, not least governemnt departments and the justice system.

Quickly buried, it seems, under the absurdity of alleged "racist" events in the program "Big Brother".
Should we be worried about all this?
Is there really an ulterior motive in play?
Are the politcians aware and in denial?
Or worse?
Serious questions that demand serious answers.
The practice of Al-Taqiyya - continued:
Our investigation into the practice of al-Taqiyya is, due to time constraints, concluded with this short series of articles by persons who, having knowledge of the subject, provide us with an insight into what is, in the Western world, a largely unknown phenomenon.
At this point we feel it may be useful to begin with a brief historical and demographical perspective. This is provided by an article published by Bharatiya Pragna in June, 2000 and reproduced in an Indian nationalist newspaper, in which we read: "By the doctrine of Al-Taqiyah, Muslims dominate crime syndicates, increase population by massive Bangladeshi infiltration and make temporary alliances with Dalits, Christians, etc.".
The author, one Dr. Walid, goes on to say: "Al-Taqiyah, from the verb Ittaqu, means linguistically dodge the threat. Politically it means simulate whatever status you need in order to win the war against the enemy ... ". Dr Walid then describes a series of historical events and examples of al-Taqiyya, saying: "It is done to prevent the new converts from seeing the real face of Islam; at least until their faith or mental conditioning is strong enough to make them turn against their own country and people."
Now this is where we really take notice, because if recent events in the UK and Europe are anything to go by, the Muslim practice of al-Taqiyya seems to have reached us with devastating consequences. Or at least, and on the basis of what we know so far, appears to be a real possibility. The rest of Dr Walids article may be read online here:
Next, we travel to Alamogordo in the USA, the home of researcher and writer Carl Cantrell, and an article entitled "The Koran and The Bible", in which he provides a series of internet links pertaining to his work, under the heading of "Topics" One of these links, entitled "Al-Taqiyya" ends with the words "But don't believe me! Read the Koran and do the research yourself!", as though he
thinks we may be incredulous at his assertions. In this section Cantrell begins quite boldly: "Al-taqiyya and dissimulation are words used for a practice of Muslims blatantly lying to non-Muslims". He qualifies this somewhat by later admitting: "It should be noted that I have read on some Muslim sites that a few more fundamental Muslim sites do not commit dissimulation, are open about the warrior mentality of Islam, and are proud that they do not dissemble or lie." Fair enough. We feel it reasonable to assume that this is the case.
Our final reference to al-Taqiyya is found at a curiously named website, providing a bloggists assortment of disparate topics, also features a link to a video on the subject. The main page, PlancksConstant, is again US based. From the main page we link off to:
- where the said video link is prominently displayed, along with such statements as: "The word "al-Taqiyya" means: "Concealing or disguising one's beliefs, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions, and strategies at a time of eminent danger to save oneself from physical or mental injury. A one-word translation would be"Dissimulation." In Arabic the translation would be "hypocrisy in the pursuit of a greater purpose. And ......... "This allows Denmark's most famous Imam, Ahmed Abdel Rahman Abu Laban, to forge cartoons if the purpose is to protect himself or other Muslims from slander, blasphemy, or threats of death. Sadly, this disclosure will have no affect on the rampaging Muslim world." This of course refers to the series of demonstration across the world by Muslims, apparently incensed by a set of cartoons reproduced in a Danish newspaper. Why a few cartoons would cause so much fuss is not difficult to understand when we discover that al-Taqiyya was again deployed as a means of whipping up hatred against the West, where a large number of Muslims live comfortably and safely as guests. By these means it appears that our hospitality is seen as a weakness to be insulted and exploited.
So that's our little sojourn into the world of a-Taqiyya.

Two legitimate business people in the same building as the Green Badge Taxi School said they suffered a two-year campaign of "harassment, intimidation and violence" to drive them out after the school decided it wanted their part of the building.
The allegations were made by Harriet Pickering, who runs a ballet academy on the premises, and Evgeny Goremykin, a former principal dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet. Ms Pickering said: "They thought we would only be short-term tenants but then they realised they would not get rid of us and the harassment started."
She went to the High Court and was granted an injunction against Lee Jasper's associates Greg Nowell and Clive Grey, ordering them not to approach, harass or intimidate her.
She told the Standard she went to court after an alleged assault committed by a man she believed to be a friend of Mr Nowell and Mr Grey.
Ms Pickering added that she had hired security guards to protect herself and her property.
"It has been an extraordinary and continuing nightmare," she said. "They threatened to 'take the building by force' and made our lives a misery. Even now it continues to dominate and overshadow our lives."
Ms Pickering and Mr Goremykin also alleged that Mr Jasper's associates or their friends:
- Invaded and occupied the ballet school, locking themselves in and only leaving when the police were called.
- Ripped down internal doors, including lavatory doors, in the ballet school three times in a single week.
- Played rap at top volume day and night to distract ballet pupils and drown out ballet music.
- Stationed menacing "bouncer-like" men in the hall outside her office and ballet studio.
- Wrote to local schools falsely claiming that her students were made to undress together or in public.
- Bombarded her and local councillors with legal complaints about the ballet school.
Documents obtained by the Standard show Mr Jasper visited the "taxi school" several times; held at least 14 meetings with Mr Grey and/or Mr Nowell; and was closely involved with the legal campaign waged against Ms Pickering.
Letters from his associates' lawyers are copied to him and one shows that Mr Jasper advised his associates on how to proceed in the dispute.
Ms Pickering said she visited Mr Jasper at his City Hall office to complain about his associates' behaviour. She said that he replied: "You can't prove they're doing anything wrong," and refused to intervene.
Mr Jasper refused to confirm or deny whether he had known or approved of alleged threats or abuse by his associates. There is no suggestion Mr Jasper assaulted or physically intimidated Ms Pickering.
Mr Grey dismissed Ms Pickering's allegations as "ridiculous".
After Ms Pickering complained to her MP, Labour's Kate Hoey, the LDA investigated the "taxi school" in March. LDA officials were refused access to key papers including bank statements and invoices seen by the Standard, which Mr Jasper's associates claimed were stolen in a burglary.
But an LDA barrister who reviewed the paperwork said he had "concerns about Green Badge's probity". The LDA told Ms Hoey it would give no more funding to Green Badge.
Last night, following the leaking of the bank statements and invoices to the Standard, the matter was reported to the police by Ms Hoey.
She said: "I have been deeply concerned about this operation for some time following the complaints from my constituent Harriet Pickering. It feels like Thirties Chicago. People like to think this kind of thing does not go on in London, but it does.
"I feel very strongly that the LDA and Mr Jasper have failed to answer serious questions about why they supported an organisation like this. Maybe the police, as well as Mr Jasper's associates, can help give us those answers." News Source

There is not a shred of truth to the pack of lies submitted by Labour MP Jon Cruddas to parliament concerning alleged financial irregularities in the BNP.
John Walker, national treasurer of the BNP, has replied to each of the points raised, by Mr Cruddas, as follows:
Allegation: “The BNP’s 2006 accounts have still not been submitted to the Electoral Commission, more than five months (so far) after the due date.”
This is not illegal and is allowed for in terms of legislation. The delay was caused by the failure of former head of administration, Kenny Smith, to provide receipts for expenditure under his direct control. The accounts have been with the auditors for the last two months and are due to be signed off on 21 December.
Allegation: “The BNP failed to report a donation of £5,315 in the period 1 July 2007 to 30 September 2007 in contravention of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendum Act 2000.”
Mr. Cruddas’ information is, as usual, out of date and factually incorrect. This is a minor issue and an amended Donation Returns has been sent and received by the Electoral Commission, who have expressed their satisfaction in this regard. There was clearly no intention to conceal the donation as it was announced, along with the name of the donor, on one of the BNP’s web sites at the time.
Allegation: “BNP financial records were shredded at the home of the party’s former national treasurer in 2004.”
No party financial records were shredded. They are held in electronic format, and cannot be shredded. This is pure fantasy on Mr Cruddas’s part.
Allegation: “The BNP has solicited donations from overseas to an organisation by the name of Civil Liberty, which Searchlight considers is merely a front organisation set up to circumvent the prohibition on donations to political parties from individuals who are not registered to vote in the UK.”
John Walker, BNP Treasurer, can categorically state that not one penny has been received by the BNP from Civil Liberty or any other ineligible body. Any suggestion otherwise is libellous. Civil Liberty was set up to support nationalists who have been persecuted for their beliefs. Civil Liberty has used none of its money for electoral purposes.
Allegation: “The BNP attempted to earn insurance commission by means of an insurance entity that was not authorised by the Financial Services Authority and there were serious doubts whether the activity was exempt from the requirement for authorisation”
This was a private initiative by a now former BNP official which was shut down within a week. The BNP was never the beneficiary of any such privately held scheme.
Allegation: “There is evidence that the BNP financed its insolvent position in 2006 by a failure to pay sums owed to HM Revenue and Customs in respect of Pay As You Earn (PAYE) and value added tax (VAT).”
All tax bills for that year have been paid and are up to date. This is another pure fantasy, based probably on Mr Cruddas’ wishes rather than any fact.
Allegation: “There are allegations that the BNP has paid workers in cash to avoid tax and national insurance contributions and to enable them to claim state benefits.”
The BNP denies that it pays its staff in cash. Minor day expenses may be covered in this way, but no full time salaries are paid in cash.
Allegation: “The BNP claims to have spent at least £70,000 on printing equipment in 2005, but no such expenditure is shown in the accounts.”
This is a lie. The costs of the printing machines are clearly recorded in the party records.
The BNP finds it ironic that Mr Cruddas dares to accuse the British National Party of financial impropriety, when his own party has seen large numbers of its very senior members arrested by the police in the ongoing “cash for peers” scandal, and which is currently embroiled in a dispute with one of its donors over large amounts of cash given to the party under several false names.
It is well known that Mr. Cruddas’ seat is vulnerable to the BNP and his baseless accusations, made behind the veil of parliamentary privilege, are clearly libellous.

Middle-aged couples living in large council houses in cities will be forced to move to the country, under controversial new Government plans unveiled today.
In plans announced by Housing Minster Yvette Cooper, people over 40 whose children have left home will be "encouraged" to move into smaller council accommodation in a bid to ease overcrowding.
The Government's plans to force older council tenants out of their homes is likely to come up against strong opposition but Mrs Cooper said that the proposals were intended to provide housing for young families.
...Homeless Charity Shelter cautiously welcomed the move. It's Chief Executive Adam Sampson said:
"These measures are a positive step forward in tackling Britain's overcrowding crisis and will hopefully free up many family-sized homes for rent.
The Government will announce plans to spend £15m on 38 new schemes over the next three years, focusing on the overcrowded cities of London, Birmingham, Bradford, Leicester, Liverpool and Manchester. News Source

This is just the beginning! Forcing people to move and displacing them. As more Immigrants arrive and settle the demand will grow and grow, add this burden to the Immigrant baby boom and there will be a catastrophe for all Native Brits.
Furthermore it won't stop there, before you know it, it will apply to those in all social housing in towns and as well as cities. Families will be torn from one another just as they were in the past by the Nazi agenda.
If you want this (Which is only the beginning) then carry on voting for the Nu Labour Nazi party! Gawd forbid when the EU start making such policies for us too, it won't be just moves in this country, people could end up being relocated anywhere in the EU Super state! Think about it! I have just been reading your site, and came across the article about councils banning bonfires, under the pretext of hse/global warming, and I would like to acquaint both yourself and your readers, with the recently adopted UN declaration on the rights of indigenous peoples, which if used correctly can end many of the abuses to which the English nation is increasingly subjected to. I urge you to read the document, which has been annexed to the declaration of human rights, since the undhr has weight under international law; anything appended to it shares the same status.
Although it was written presumably with the third world in mind, it none the less equally applies to the peoples of Europe, who themselves are indigenous peoples, currently tyrannised by the Polit bureau of the despotic EU. I shall give you a couple of examples, in the hope that you will disseminate as widely as possible knowledge of this document, and try to weld our people once more into a nation, and get the provisions of these articles onto every- ones lips, and every-ones hearts, for you know as well as I, that if we only had unity the tyrants could not prevail for an hour longer.
Article 8.1:"Indigenous peoples and individuals have the right not to be subjected to forced assimilation or destruction of their culture" 8.2:" states shall provide effective mechanisms for prevention of , and redress for: (a) "any action which has the aim or effect of depriving them of their integrity as distinct peoples, or of their cultural values or ethnic identities"(b)"any action which has the aim or effect of dispossessing them of their lands, territories or resources"(c) "any form of forced population transfer which has the aim or effect of violating or undermining any of their rights"(d)"any form of forced assimilation or integration"(e)"any form of propaganda designed to promote or incite racial or ethnic discrimination directed against them"
I have been trying to make people aware of this, by emailing this information to as many people as I can think of, and I hope that you will give it as much publicity as you are able, at last this is something that cannot be labelled as racist, xenophobic, bigoted or "Nazi", it is totally legitimate, and we have a right to the full protection of it against those who would destroy our country, culture and nation. Perhaps your readers might be interested in this very valuable weapon, and if every-one hears about it may give them some hope in these desperate times, it can be used to combat the assault upon Christmas, Easter, our church and our traditions.

Officers stood guard outside the singer's house in Camden, north London, for around three hours while their colleagues worked inside after reportedly forcing the door open to gain entry.
Ms Winehouse, 24, and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil were not at home at the time. Police detained the couple overnight after they were found with 7g (025oz) of marijuana. The award-winning musician, her husband and an unnamed British man were arrested at a hotel room in the southern city of Bergen. They were held for 12 hours before being fined and released. The couple were ordered to pay 500 euros (£350) between them, while the other arrested man was fined £240. Winehouse, 24, who was admitted to hospital earlier this year after a reported overdose of heroin, ecstasy, cocaine, ketamine and alcohol, is due to give a concert in Bergen tonight.

Violent criminal and drug addict, Pete Doherty, is the hero of the "love music hate racism" brigade and the so-called "antifascists"

The clip is called Shiverz Tryna Shank Trubzy - shank means stabbing in gang slang. According to The Sun, Nakanda is also linked to the gang Coldsoldierz through her boyfriend Kizzle who is a member. Ian Buckley dissects the 'anti-fascist' lie magazine.
The name of Searchlight magazine will be familiar - if hardly popular - with most readers. Personally, I had never so much as looked at an issue until a few weeks ago, but now that I have done so I'd like to share some impressions with our readership.
One initial surprise was the rather backward-looking nature of the magazine. Recent numbers have carried interminable material about the Spanish Civil War, or the nefarious and violent activities of the '62 Group. Forty-year-old anecdotes of street battles and the overturning of a car of a 'fascist' are cheerfully related.
But woe betide anyone on the 'other side' who is thought even slightly to emulate these people's bad behaviour! Then Searchlight will let fly with all the venom at its disposal, with references to 'Nazi rat nests', 'terrorists', 'maniacs' and 'thugs.' In a Searchlight article of March 2003 by Thomas Reynolds entitled 'Disciples of Blood', even a prominent Roman Catholic anti-abortion activist, Thomas Monaghan, was accorded this treatment. We are informed that a giant 220ft crucifix outside a college run by Monaghan is 'arrogant'. Well, you can't please everybody!
Searchlight's distortion of the language and its fantasist tendencies are very reminiscent of the propaganda of the Israeli Government. The demonisation of British Nationalists follows the same pattern, whereby an elderly Christian Arab bell-ringer shot by troops becomes a 'terrorist' who was 'holed up' in the Church of the Nativity. The wealthy interest groups who donate money to failed Communist party candidate Gerry Gable’s Searchlight operation must be scratching their heads in wonder after witnessing their money being blown on one of the most hare-brained, wasteful, schemes ever yet devised by the Marxists in Ilford.
This scheme involved printing four-page leaflets, and sending them to every BNP candidate, regional organiser, and any public figure they have on their (illegal, in terms of the Data Protection Act) lists which they hold.
These leaflets contained a pathetic attempt to demoralize BNP activists, by trying to claim that the party is in “crisis.”
The laughter with which the leaflets were received – and the thought that the failed Communists had spent thousands of pounds on their printing and mail shot – summed it up. One BNP candidate remarked: “I haven’t had a good a laugh in years, thanks Gable!”
The leaflet tried to make play on a personality clash between a recently resigned ex-official and another party official. Well, sad to say, personality clashes do happen, but to try and make out that the party is on the verge of collapse because two people can’t get along is hyperbole in the extreme!
In fact, the BNP has just racked up a strong of council by election successes, including winning a hard-fought contest in Epping to hold a seat in an election we called (an historic 'first' for the party); polling over 20% in Leicestershire, having two new councilors join in Wales, and superb election results from around the country – all directly contradicting the hilarious allegation by Gable that the party is somehow in “crisis.”
The Searchlight Lie: While the leaflet is just full of wild, outrageous lies, one of the best is the claim that Nick Griffin has “dropped the Advisory Council, replacing it by the “voting member” system.”
The Truth: In fact, the Advisory Council is very much in existence, and is so well entrenched that its next four meeting for 2008 have already been diarised and planned out ahead, as any AC member will be able to confirm . . . Just another pathetic, hopeless, no-brainer lie from the failed communist Gable . . .
As if that obvious and blatant lie was not enough, Gable goes on to claim that the AC has been replaced with the “voting membership” system. There is, of course, no truth to that either, as all members who are aware of the workings of the VM system already know.
Some of the more outrageous lies in the Gable leaflet include the following:
The Searchlight Lie: - With reference to the Andrew Spence affair, Gable scribbles: “Although it was Spence who threw the first punch at the RWB, he did it out of exasperation with Collett, who inflamed the situation.”
The Truth: The truth is that Mark Collett had not even spoken to Spence, who had got into an argument with the National Treasurer after he'd been told he would be paid election expenses later in the RWB weekend. Spence had agreed to that quite happily, and then suddenly demanded his expenses immediately, when it was physically not possible to be paid (a Saturday evening.)
Spence attacked the national treasurer, and Mark Collett only stepped in when Spence was about to hit the national treasurer when he was lying on the floor.
Once again, Gable gets the facts wrong – most probably deliberately, as he is in inveterate liar by nature.
The Searchlight Lie: Gable scribbled on the Mike Easter expulsion: “. . . he expelled Mike Easter, a founder member of the BNP who ran Chris Jackson’s campaign, giving the feeble excuse that Easter was late submitting an account of Jackson’s election expenses.”
The Truth: Once again, Gable has no facts: Easter was asked, repeatedly, to provide accounts, as demanded by the Electoral Commission, for the ‘Reform Group.’
This was a legal obligation put on the party by the state, not something Nick Griffin dreamed up. Easter refused to hand over the account (a simple email with a profit and loss would have sufficed for the Electoral Commission) and the BNP was forced to act. As simple as that.
However, Gable never lets the facts get in the way of a lying-smear. . . .
The Searchlight Lie: Gable scribbles with reference to the BNP accounts: “The BNP’s 2006 accounts are three months overdue and the party leadership has given no explanation..”
The Truth: The truth is that the accounts have long since been handed to the auditors, who are busy going through them for presentation to the EC. If there is any delay in submitting them, it will be purely an administrative issue between the auditors and the EC.
Once again, Gable’s lies are easily disproved. But that is never much of a problem, as the compulsive-obsessive liar from Ilford knows no other way of life.
The Searchlight Lie: Gable scribbles: “The BNP has run out of money. Full-time staff, including Griffin himself, are on half pay.”
The Truth: This one is a hilarious lie: no-one in the party is on half wages, and this distortion in Gable’s long list of factual errors arose after wages were paid half on a Friday, and then the other half on a Monday.
An email was sent out to key party employees advising them of this situation, and Gable has latched onto that as somehow “proof” that the party has no money. . . !
In actual fact, a quick perusal of the Electoral Commission website which shows that the BNP is one of the only parties that actually operate in the black, as almost all other parties run millions of pounds in debt!
In any event, everyone in Nationalism knows that the party employees do their work out of dedication to the cause, and are more than prepared to accept delays in payment as priorities demand. This is hardly a reflection on any state of collapse, but rather an indication of the quality and dedication of the BNP staff.
As to the allegation that the BNP could not have afforded to fight an election; think again, Gable, think again! Wait till you see what the BNP has planned, electorally wise! The BNP is going to beat your sorry Marxist behind back into the rubbish bin of history, along with your dead heroes Lenin and Stalin!
The Searchlight Lie: Gable scribbles: “Nick Griffin lies outrageously to BNP members. In his article in September’s Identity, he makes out that Nick Lowles of Searchlight and Peter Rushton, a former BNP member who is now senior in the British People’s Party, are one and the same person, although he knows perfectly well that this is rubbish.”
The Truth: Ho Ho – everyone knows that Nick Lowles is a pen name used by several people in Searchlight, including Gable, Rushton and Lawrence King. A simple comparison of the writing styles reveals all.
And so on, ad infinitum. We could spend all day taking each and ever one of Gables lies apart, but the reader has the general idea by now.

Gable’s shocking journalistic abilities and bizarre imagination (he was once famously described in the Observer newspaper as being able to see “Nazi architecture in kids' sand boxes”) and, what can only be generously described a malicious lying, has landed this incompetent would-be ‘authority’ in trouble time and time again.
In 1975, Searchlight had its first major story exposing what it announced to the world as “Column 88.” This was, according to Searchlight, a “neo-Nazi terror group, intent on having its members in places of influence across the whole spectrum of the Right, from the Monday Club to the National Front" ('Searchlight' May 1975, p5).
Gable then used a tactic which has since become commonplace for Searchlight: he put one of his agent provocateur's into place to generate the “facts” and Bob’s Your Uncle, he had a story!
By April 1976, Gable had managed to place one of his agents, the Communist Party of Great Britain member Dave Roberts, into some small fringe group which liked to dress up in military fatigues and run around on Salisbury Plain.
Despite the fact that the Searchlight agent was the leading light in this otherwise freakish miniscule operation, Gable blew up the story out of all proportion, claiming that they were carrying out “joint operations with the Territorial Army”!
Not happy with this utterly delusional outburst, Gable followed up what he called “Searchlight's research into the extreme right Column 88" by saying that "C88 is a private army. It is illegal. There is no legitimate reason why it should be allowed to continue", ('Searchlight' May 1976, p3-4).
Not too surprisingly, the Territorial Army found no trace of Gable’s fanaticised “Nazi army” and dismissed the allegations for what they were – the ravings of a crank.
Never one not to flog a dead horse, Gable raved on about C88 for years. In 1991, Searchlight still referred to C88 as "the Nazi underground paramilitary and intelligence cell" (No 187 January 1991, p3).
This same issue spoke of the role of the SAS and MI6 as "a training arm for guerrilla warfare and sabotage" for the British Section of the GLADIO network, the secret NATO anti-Communist organisation." (ibid p6).
By 1995, almost everyone knew that Gable was lying about C88, but he could not resist raising the story once more: in the April 1995 edition of Searchlight, Gable retracted all of his allegations made over the previous 20 years (!) and said that “C88 was a honey trap operation set up by British intelligence", and furthermore were involved in GLADIO, ('Searchlight' No 238 April 1995, p2), and "should not be counted as a genuine far-right or racist group", ('Community Handbook', Sect 2.2-2).
Of course, the reality was that “Column 88” never actually existed in any serious degree outside of Gable’s fertile imagination, much less as a “NATO-created anti-Communist organisation!”
The fact that Gable could have even printed such a laughable, ludicrous, allegation that NATO was actively recruiting “neo-Nazis” to “fight Communists” is possibly one of the best indicators of the utterly bizarre and outrageously fictional world in which Gable and Searchlight live – but, sadly, it is not their only example.
What is even more incredible is to think that newspapers and media sources take this crowd of delusional paranoids seriously! One can rightly wonder who is more delusional: Gable and company, or the media who quote them!

- In November 1963, Gerry Gable was arrested and held at Hornsey police station following a break-in at the flat of the historian David Irving. After stealing GPO identity documents, the Communist Party member Gable and his comrade Manny Carpel, burgled Irving ’s house hoping to find “evidence” that Irving was a “Nazi.’ Of course, they found nothing, and instead were arrested for their troubles. On January 14, 1964, Gable pleaded guilty to breaking into the flat with intent to steal, and was convicted.
- Carpel was also arrested in 1963 for assaulting P.C. William Nield and of having an offensive weapon (a metal butcher's hook).
- In 1967, Carpel pleaded guilty, with Michael Cohen, of trying to break into a printing works (W.H. Jones Ltd. on 20th July, 1966) with intent to commit a felony and to possessing housebreaking tools by night.
- Later, when in court for setting light to a print works in Uckfield, Sussex, and causing more than £50,000 worth of damage (November the 5th, 1980) he described himself as "a freelance journalist working for Searchlight."
- In December 1976, Searchlight was described by a stipendiary magistrate, Mr. John Milward, as "scurrilous and disreputable ... What purpose can there be in advertising opponents' meetings except for the purpose of identifying them and creating disorder and violence? This seems to be an attempt to stir up trouble which is to be very strongly deprecated." - Birmingham Post 31/12/76
